Whether you're looking for a hands-on sailing adventure, a relaxing evening under canvas, or an unforgettable educational experience, the Marine Learning Project offers a variety of opportunities to get underway aboard the historic schooner Harvey Gamage.

Adult Discovery Voyages (Ages 18+)
Our Adult Discovery Voyages are designed for anyone 18 years of age or older who wants to experience life aboard a traditional schooner. These multi-day adventures offer the chance to participate in every aspect of sailing the vessel—from raising sail and taking the helm to standing watch and learning traditional seamanship. No previous sailing experience is required—just a willingness to learn and be part of the crew.

Student Discovery Voyages (Ages 13–17)
Student Discovery Voyages are open to youth ages 13–17 and combine adventure with hands-on education. Participants learn leadership, teamwork, navigation, marine science, maritime history, and traditional sailing skills while living aboard the Harvey Gamage. These immersive programs are designed to challenge, inspire, and build confidence through real-world experiences on the water.
Please Note: At this time, Student Discovery Voyages require a completed application and acceptance into the program. Because of the application process, these voyages are not listed on this page and can instead be found on our dedicated Student Voyages page.

Day Sails & Sunset Sails
Our Day Sails and Sunset Sails are open to guests of all ages, making them a perfect outing for families, friends, visitors, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of Maine from the deck of a classic schooner. Guests are welcome to participate in sailing the vessel or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

Special Receptions
From time to time, the Harvey Gamage hosts receptions and special events. These events are by invitation only and are not open for general ticket sales unless specifically noted.
