Discovery Voyage Preview: An Educator’s Day Under Sail

Join us for a special day sail through Portland Harbor aboard the schooner Harvey Gamage. Offered exclusively to invited teachers, educators, and prospective community partners, this experience provides a firsthand introduction to the Marine Learning Project’s Discovery Voyages.

Guests will experience life aboard a working schooner while learning how our programs use the maritime environment to build leadership, teamwork, confidence, and hands-on learning. Participants will also have an opportunity to explore the vessel, meet members of our team, ask questions, and discover how these voyages can benefit their students and communities.

Two Portland Harbor day sails will be offered to help educators and partners confidently share these opportunities with students and families ahead of next year’s enrollment season.

Sailing Time is scheduled for approximately 9am - 4pm. Additional time is for questions.
