Join Discovery Voyages and embark on a transformative maritime learning experience.

Application and Scheduling Process

When applying, students are required to select three (3) preferred voyage weeks. Placement is determined based on overall application volume and scheduling logistics.

Voyages are filled based on applicant demand. Weeks that do not reach sufficient enrollment may be subject to cancellation, and applicants may be reassigned to one of their alternate selections whenever possible.

Once a student is assigned to a specific voyage week, a deposit invoice will be issued to secure their placement.

HOW TO REGISTER

Choose Your Voyage

Review the voyage schedule and select dates that work for your student. Students are required to select three (3) preferred voyages. Placement is determined based on application volume and scheduling logistics.

Complete Application

Fill out our online registration form with student information, emergency contacts, and any relevant medical or dietary needs.

Submit Required Forms

Complete liability waivers, medical forms, and photo release documentation. All forms are provided after initial registration.

Confirm Enrollment

Once your application is reviewed and forms are submitted, you'll receive confirmation and detailed voyage information including packing lists and logistics.

Scholarships & Financial Access

Marine Learning Project is committed to making Discovery Voyages accessible to all students, regardless of economic background. We offer need-based scholarships and work with schools and community organizations to ensure every interested student can participate.

Scholarships are funded through individual donations, grants, and partnerships with Maine businesses committed to youth development and maritime education. Financial assistance ranges from partial to full scholarships based on demonstrated need.

Scholarship Application Process

  • Provide documentation of financial need (optional but recommended)

  • Applications reviewed on a rolling basis
