Beyond the learning: Our mission, your future
More than just costs, an investment in the Marine Learning Project is an investment in a future of purpose and passion. Our mission is to connect Maine students to the sea—using the historic schooner Harvey Gamage to awaken curiosity, build confidence, and introduce real career pathways in Maine’s marine industry. This is a cooperative project, with the backbone being the Wiscasset School System and Jobs for Maine Graduates, alongside many other like-minded organizations dedicated to the next generations. We envision a generation of young people who are inspired by Maine’s maritime heritage, prepared for skilled careers on or near the water, and proud to live, work, and lead in coastal communities.
